The first Hitler Olympics was held in 1936 in Berlin, Germany.
It was a showcase where the Nazis could demonstrate their genetic superiority, as well as their military might. The announcement that Trumps shock troops, [also called ICE], will be attending the Olympics in Italy has reminded me strongly of Hitlers rise to power.
ICE are not ordinary cops, that should be deployed in a city environment. They are would be mercenaries and pardoned Jan 6 rioters who have proved their worth in Minneapolis. They have killed and beaten undocumented immigrants and citizens alike, and then lied about each of their outbreaks of extreme violence.
It is quite chilling that these brutal thugs are heading to Europe. what good could US immigration possibly do in Europe? will they again be deployed to escalate peaceful protests into beatings and shootings?
Maybe Europe will decide to hand over Greenland after yet another demonstration of US brutality?
What benefits have the citizens of the US seen from Trumps authoritarian tactics and threats?
1. instead of becoming a US state, Canada has stopped trading with us, and taken up with China instead.
2. Venezuela was attacked, and their leader kidnapped. Yet, no American company wants to drill for oil there. We have killed sailors and taken oil tankers, but really, what we did was wean the world from using the US dollar for trade. The US is no longer trusted, except to bore dignitaries with stupid, insulting, Trumpian diatribes.
3. The trump regime is lead by a child trafficker. Any Epstein papers that are released while one of the main offenders is president will have him blacked out. When he is finally deposed, Trump will amaze the world with the extent of his crimes, both sexual and fraudulent. Potus and his reliable cabinet will move from DC to various federal prisons. For now, the American people are skipping vaccines, getting much less medical and food help. Predatory corporations are being allowed to defraud them without any oversight.
4. NATO has been effectively dissolved. In fact, Trump has proposed that we might start to grab parts of Europe. He has also told Europe that they are on their own, and no longer protected by the US. This effects US citizens because these policies will clearly lead to a US civil war, or a world war fought right here in the lower 48 states.
5 Having a convicted sex offender and scammer in the white house makes these types of crimes seem OK. When wealthy fraudsters or sex offenders are caught, they can buy a pardon after a short stay in jail. The whole US citizenry feels that it is slightly more OK to use violence, abuse or traffic women, or to cheat vulnerable people. When we are lead by a violent narcissist, we all become a little more like our leader.
6 Some immigrants have been removed from the US, but so far, it has been the day laborers and nannies that have been picked like low hanging fruits. We actually need all the gardeners and roofers and fruit pickers. We had hoped to get rid of rapists and murderers, but they can resist ICE very easily. The cost of a small number of removals is too high. We now have a huge army of thugs that answer only to Trump. They are tearing through democratic cities. Can you beat and threaten the democracy right out of people? I guess that we will see during the midterms. If Minnesota votes republican, I will eat some very dirty socks as well as my hat.
7. The stupid tariffs are just a way for Trump to get a huge amount of tax-payer money to spend on his private army and his golden ballroom. They have not worked at all, except to empower china, and force European companies from the US. At one point, we even goaded China into offering to stop shipments of rare earth elements to the US. OOOPs! That would kill the biggest scam that we have now.
8. The biggest scam ever attempted is the AI bubble. AI investment is making the US economy look OK by pouring money into data centers that are not needed or desired. You may remember China building fake cities to falsely inflate their economy. Data centers are being rammed down Americas throat. The tech bros stood behind trump after they helped elect him. Now, he is returning the favor by letting them totally defraud us. The US economy is collapsing FAST! This will be quite obvious when the AI bubble pops. The various companies are not developing true artificial intelligence. Current AI is more of a tool for fraud and surveillance. Large language models were never a path to general AI. They will be used by the government to further control every aspect of American life. Every keystroke made, and photo kept by each citizen will be stored in those data centers, and they will be organized by AI agents so that dissidents can be quickly and secretly disappeared.
What can we do, you may ask! I would say that we can vote with our wallets, even if the voting system is lost to the authoritarian regime. But, our wallets have already been pinched with hidden taxes so that many more Americans are living hand to mouth. It is hard to purchase with high ideals when you cant buy the food that you need, or see a doctor when you are ill. It is our responsibility to watch events very carefully. We can try not to give in to hatred while the folks who have given in make the world dangerous and miserable. And, just like in the period after the Hitler Olympics, we can settle in for a very long period of disruption with war, famine, disasters and pandemics the whole way. In 1936, they still had a few years of troubled peace, followed by 5 years of war. You will remember that Hitler conquered the first few countries before war was declared. It will bring to mind our poke at Venezuela and our greed for Canada and Greenland. Like Hitler, Trump can move into a few nearby countries before our expansion triggers some larger countries to declare war.
The course of a world war seems predictable if we look back. We get our Czechoslovakia, and maybe our Poland. When we move into our 'France' to capture the resources there [Greenland?], many countries will fight us. At first, they will be reluctant, and will loose badly. Just little incidents of fighting will occur on US soil. Most of the bombing runs, and the land and sea battles will take place elsewhere. Then, we will need to make more parts for the ships and planes, and we will find out that we are very dependent on the countries that we are fighting. Later, more countries will join our foes [likely we will betray some, like Germany betrayed the Soviets.] Just like it did in ww2, the fighting will come to be entirely within the instigating country. That means the bombing of American cities until most lie in rubble, and eventually, the landing of a multinational armada that works it's way slowly across the US. And, that prediction is for the case where the Nukes are left in their happy silos and submarines. Since Nukes exist in such great numbers, we can not rest assured that they will never be used.
Putin threatened to use nukes a lot of times, but he never actually came close to using nukes in his war with the former soviet state that is now the country of Ukraine. In fact, he has only used a few of his vast stockpile of hyper-sonic missiles. Drones and Russian young men are way cheaper. I do not feel the same about Donald Trump. you could hurt his feelings too much, by [for example] withholding a peace prize after he had instantly resolved 253 wars that have been going for well over 2000 years.
No, Donald will do anything, and no one can stop him [other than his super strong conscience, wink wink]. He might be the perfect storm, that ends American control of the world and American prosperity right along with the American economy.
